Kahui and Arnesen to hit Nelson

Local track favorites Brad Kahui and Peter Arnesen are heading to Nelson for the Capelli Hair Salon New Zealand Streetstock Grand Prix on Saturday.

Thankfully Kahui has a back up wagon after blowing up the Native 44GM last weekend in Greymouth. Kahui lost all control of the steering sending an almighty boom across Greenstone Park Speedway.

A big field of cars are expected in Nelson with the streeties back in good numbers. This has been the most entertaining class on the card in Nelson over the summer.

The strong field will be made up of almost all the local Nelson guys plus an influx from around the South Island, including new 1NZ Darrell Hoon Richards from Dunedin, 3NZ Levi van Lieshout and former national champions Dave McSherry and Simon Bland. Another recent 1NZ, Brenden Gooch, is travelling from Gisborne along with two more of the Gooch clan from the Poverty Bay in the field. Kahui and Arnesen will do the GM proud and hold their own in what is clearly the best lineup of streeties in some time.
