A long weekend of results starting with Saturday's stableford, and while the scoring has had a reduction, the usual suspects are featuring as per normal with Michael Scholes (74) back to the front of the pack with 37 points, one clear of a trio on 36, Graham Sinclair (86), Jimmy Campbell (88) and James Hardie (78) with Paddy McBride (75) rounding out the scoring with 35.
A smaller field turned out on Sunday for a single par with the Covid king, Josh Golding (77) first on +3 by lot from Kevin Thomas (83), then a visiting Ben Williams +2 and Peter Bourke (74) all square.
Monday's Queen's birthday stableford had just 3 points separating the top seven players with Nancy Watson (104) showing the way home, winning by lot from Michael Scholes (71) both on 38 points. Tied on third was Josh Golding (80) and Kev Thomas (83) with 37 each followed by Liam Beirne (74), Mike Gawith (80) and Norm Young (95) all on 36 points.
Two's scored over the weekend went to Graham Collings, Josh Golding, Michael Scholes x 3, Mike Osborne, Paul Watson and Mike Gawith.
This weekend would have seen the Greymouth course hosting Central Canterbury vs Buller/Westland but due to Covid this has been cancelled.
Matches will be arranged for both days.
