There was a good turnout for Raymond Blair's welcome back to the course Level 2 tournament on Saturday. The revised handicap system is having a big impact on scoring as players find their footing after a long break.
Peter McGee (88) was first home on what is now a good score of 37 points. Bunched on 35 points was Jimmy Campbell (87), Jo Johnstone (92) and Peter Bourke (75) and then Paddy McBride (76), Gaye Munnerly (84) and Reuben Ellen (78) all on 34.
Two's were recorded by Paddy McBride x 2, Jimmy Campbell, Gavin Grant, and Lindsay Robertson.
This long weekend will have matches on all three days.
Queens Birthday Monday would have been the Gordon's Gin Tournament in Greymouth, but due to current circumstances the club will instead run a $10 day with an enhanced prize list.
