'Givealittle' Set Up After The Tragic Death Of Three Year Old Boy
A 'Givealittle' page has been set up to help support Mathew and Sapphire Hunt who tragically lost their three year-old son, Alexzander over the weekend.
Alexzander was taken to Greymouth Hospital presented with vomiting and a temperature and was thought to have meningitis. Hours later the child passed away from sepsis.
Sepsis is caused by the body's response to an infection. The body normally releases chemicals into the bloodstream to fight an infection. Sepsis occurs when the body's response to these chemicals is out of balance, triggering changes that can damage multiple organ systems.
Sister in-law, Ashleigh Murphy set up the fundraising page to help the family cover funeral costs and take time to grieve.
"Alexander was his mum and dad's pride and joy, his parent's and our family are absolutely heart broken and shocked".
