Greymouth Golf Report
A fine weekend resulted in good numbers playing both days and on Saturday the stableford was narrowly won by Wayne Thomas (78) with 38 points, from Graham Sinclair (81) with 37 and then a mini mob on 36, Kieran Stone (107), James Hardie (78) and Carolyn Williams(99).
Even with a double plus bogey on Sunday only one player managed to get into the pluses which meant Paul Kaye(84) took out the match on +2. Peter Bourke (75) and Mike Gawith (79) finished all square from Ryan Coll (74) -1 and Graham Sinclair(84) -2.
Two's were claimed by Raymond Blair, Francis Goosen, Mike Osborne, Rob Marshall, Peter Bourke and Graham Sinclair.
This weekend will have a match of sorts on Saturday and Sunday has the Hokitika club coming North to play the first leg of a reasonably friendly home and away match against our club.
Hokitika is bringing 24 players and our club has matched these numbers and will line up for individual matchplay. Tee off is 11.00am so note the early start time.

Hokitika Golf Report
Saturdays Bogey was played in excellent winter conditions with Neville Johnson having one of the better rounds of late finishing on plus 5. Stan Naylor was plus 3, Dean Cummings plus 2 and Paul Davidson plus 1.
In Sundays Stableford Pete Theron had the best score with 38 points from Johnson 36 points and Bourgeois 35 points.
There was a small field for the Wednesday Stableford on June 17th with Shaun Meldrum the winner with 35 points.
Twos for the week were scored by Kevin Foster and Shane Minhinnick.
The LGU Match was won by M Thorpe, M Glasson 2nd and A Day 3rd. M Thorpe also won the putting competition. Points Silver: M Thorpe 3, M Glasson 2, A Day 1. Bronze S Heney 3, M Curtain, 2 and V Brown 1.
This Saturday the first round for the McIntosh Bogey will be played, A Day Starter, and T McMullan Catering.
The mens match on Saturday is a bogey and the second round of the Chapman Cup. On Sunday Hokitika travel to Greymouth for the first leg of the TEY Seddon Trophy which is a traditional match between the two clubs with an 11am tee off.
The return match in Hokitika is on Sunday July 26th. A match will be arranged for those playing in Hokitika on Sunday.
