GREYMOUTH GOLF REPORT
Playing a stableford, Ryan Coll almost managed to break the now lofty heights of 40 points, falling just short on 39. Tied for second was Mike Osborne and Keven Klucas on 37 and then Graham Sinclair 35 and Patrick McBride on 34.
Sunday's club match between Greymouth and Hokitika was postponed due to marginal weather forecasts so there will be a revised date, but members still turned up in enough numbers to hold a 4BBB which was won by the pairing of Jeremy Aranga and Phil Thompson with 42 points.
Second was the combination of Pete Theron and Pete McGee on 41 points and third were Carolyn Williams and Lindsay Robertson with 40 points.
Two's were harder to find over the weekend with only Patrick McBride, Ryan Coll and James Hardie managing birdie's on the par 3's.
This weekend is all about the Karamea Winter tournament and while there are a number of Greymouth members planning on travelling North to support the small Karamea club, the forecast at this stage is looking anything but dusty. Fingers crossed. There will be matches arranged for those planning to stay closer to home.
Finally a shout out to promote the upcoming musical quiz that is being arranged by Raymond to be held at the golf club on 25th July at 7pm.
Teams are 4-6 people, $10 per person which includes supper, open to anyone not just golf members.
There is an entry sheet up on the clubhouse notice board or contact Raymond on 027 8191818. A fun night guaranteed.
