Council looking for culprit
A truck load of used tyres, and the remains of a paling fence have been dumped off the edge of the State Highway 73 layby at Jacksons.
Around 100 used tyres dumped down the bank, some of which have gone into the Taramakau River has seen the West Coast Regional Council take to Facebook to find those responsible.
Council said a contractor will need to be engaged to remove the tyres and have them taken to the landfill for appropriate disposal.
